Gold Star GF-100FE Professional Flying Eagle 5-String Banjo w/ Case

$ 999.95

This 2005 Gold Star GF-100FE Flying Eagle 5-String Banjo is in great condition. It has been well cared for and well played by its original owner and does show some light playwear in the form of a few small dings on the back of the resonator and tip of the headstock as well as some slight smudging on the head and some tarnishing in the nickel plating on the armrest (See pictures). But overall, this banjo is clean and plays and sound great! It has a nice setup with a comfortable action and the frets are in excellent condition. This banjo will come complete with a very nice black tolex hardshell case that is also in excellent used condition. Awesome deal on a fantastic playing and sounding Gold Star GF-100FE Flying Eagle Banjo!

Most banjo players agree that the ideal bluegrass banjo was the flathead built in very limited quantities during the 1930s. To meet this demand and to offer it at a price any player could afford, Saga Musical Instruments introduced the original GF-100 banjo in the early 1970s. Ever since these banjos were discontinued in the late 1980s due to costly manufacturing methods in Japan, they have continued to be topics of discussion for their legendary sound and value. Now Gold Star GF-100FE (Flying Eagle) is back and better than ever before!
