This Vintage 1953 Martin D-18 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument and a very nice example of a 1950's D-18. This guitar has seen many stages over the years and shows some moderate playwear including some honest scratches and rash on the body, neck and headstock. The Sitka Spruce Top shows no cracks and sports a nice wide and straight grain pattern. It is light, responsive, and paired with the mahogany back and sides, produces a nice evenly balanced mellow tone that these Vintage D-18's are famous for! There is a previous repair on the treble side of the guitar where a few cracks were cleated and secured. The back shows plenty of rash. The tuning keys are not original to the guitar, but function great and this guitar holds tune fantastically. The neck has a good setup with a low action and the frets themselves show only some light to moderate wear and have plenty of life left. The hardshell case is in fully functional condition and looks great! Awesome deal on a fantastic playing and sounding 1953 Martin D-18 Dreadnought!
